திருமூலர் அருளிய 'ஐந்து கரத்தனை' விநாயகர் காப்புச் செய்யுள் கணபதியின் ஐந்து கரங்கள், யானை முகம், பிறை போன்ற தந்தங்கள் மற்றும் ஞானத்தின் அம்சத்தை விவரிக்கிறது. விநாயகரை மனதில் நிறுத்தி அறிவையும் ஞானத்தையும் அருள வேண்டி அவரை வணங்கி போற்றுவதே இந்த ஸ்லோகத்தின் பொருள்.
This hymn composed by Saint Thirumoolar praises Lord Ganesha, describing his five hands, elephant face, crescent-like tusk and embodiment of divine wisdom. The sloka teaches devotees to keep Lord Vinayagar in their hearts and worship him to receive knowledge, wisdom and divine blessings.
